About Early Childhood Education in Nigeria

The Nigerian National Policy on Education (NPE) provides that Early Childhood Education (ECC) – also known as Pre-Primary Education or Early Years Foundation Stages – is for children between ages 3 to 5 years old. Typical of Nigerian schools, this level of education is divided into three classes thus:
