About this Scheme of Work

This JSS 1 Igbo Language Scheme of Work is developed based on the Nigerian national curriculum. It contains all the topics in first, second and third term. For each term, the scheme professionally breaks the topics into weeks. This means, there is topic for week 1, week 2, week 3 and so on.

Since Language experts developed this scheme, independent Igbo Language tutors can use this scheme to teach their students the language.

There is forward by Secretary for Education and personal acknowledgement by the Director of Education Resource Centre.

Curriculum

This Scheme of Work is based on the Nigerian National 9-Year Basic Education Curriculum, 2013/2016 edition. The scheme was originally developed in 2014 and revised in 2017 corresponding to the curriculum revision.
